Symple Putting "The Putting Track
Method"
Normally a "putting track" is a metal or
plastic track that you slide your putter along in to ensure you
have your putter "on-track" on the back stroke and during your
actual putting stroke.
With Symple Putting you can set up with your own
built-in putting track. With this method you use
the top of your thigh as a putting track. To do this requires
some changes from the standard Symple Putting set up.
The "Putting Track" set up may not be for everyone. We're
all have different physical builds and different needs. This is
a method that is worth testing. Try this and compare it against
the standard Symple Putting set-up method. See for yourself
which one works best.
The Putting Track Method
Grip
The idea of the the "Puttting Track" set-up is that you take
your set up first with your top hand so that the
back of all your fingers are right against the top of your
thigh. (see picture below)
Different Anchor Point
Your anchor point or hinge point is the knuckle at the
base of the little finger of the top hand. (This is different
than the normal wrist hinge of regular Symple Putting. )
Bend Your Front Leg So It's Parallel To the
Shaft
You will have to BEND YOUR FRONT LEG SLIGHTLY SO IT'S
PARALLEL TO YOUR THIGH. You'll probably want to bend
the back leg the same amount. (see picture below)
The backs of all the fingers touch the thigh.
The putter shaft runs up the middle of the wrist.
The whole thumb and thumb pad of the top hand is on the top of
the putter.
SLIDE THE FINGERS OF YOUR BOTTOM HAND
RIGHT UNDER THE SHAFT.
Now all (or almost all) of the fingers of
both hands should slide along your thigh.

oversized grip)
Now all 10 fingers can slide along your thigh
VIDEO CLIP OF HAND ACTION
USING
SYMPLE PUTTING'S PUTTING TRACK METHOD
Note the following in the video
clip:
1. All the fingers are touching the thigh at
address
2. The knee is bent until the thigh is parallel to the
putter shaft 3. The hinge is done on
the knuckle of the little finger of the top hand
4. All (or almost all) of the fingers slide right on
the top of the thigh giving you the feeling of a putting
track.
Obviously on longer putts the backs of your fingers will
slide across your thigh only on the beginning of your
backstroke then again through impact.
